Kayce Hughes + Pears & Bears

I am hosting a childrens trunk show for my friend Kayce Hughes from Nashville. She just sent me two enormous duffle bags of Pears and Bears clothes. I am flipping over all the ADORABLE summer outfits! I have already picked out our 4th of July matching red gingham shorts and jon jons. And now that I finally have little girl in our family to buy for I am going to go crazy with all these little dresses! There are tunics, coverups , smocked dresses, bubbles, baiting suits, jon jons, Pajamas.... and more!

Lulu DK's NY Home

Lulu deKwiatkowski's New York Apartment is on NYSD . She says she is selling it next month and possibly moving to Italy. It could be yours! I love reading where she found certain items in her home- everywhere from ebay to NY sidewalk sales. See all the images and read the interview here.

B. Whittington

Our friends John Bouregois and Zack Whittington started a remodeling business here in Charlotte. They are master craftsmen and pay great attention to detail. Their business is called B. Whittington. I was blown away by some images of their latest projects. I love the ceilings.

The best care package EVER just arrived on my doorstep.

A box full of some of my favorite records. With so much technology at our fingertips its nice to go back to an old faintly-familiar sound. Thank you my dear friend Bryce! We are about to have a major old school dance party.

My cousin is getting married in New Orleans. I think this might be the prettiest calligraphy I have ever seen! I LOVE it! I added the little red hearts on the response card.

Pendleton

I stopped into Urban Outfitters the other day and thought it was really cool that Pendleton was making towels and blakets for them. How fun and funky these towels could be in a bathroom or even at the pool. I have always loved Pendletons old school wool blankets. Check out the towels on the Urban Outfitters site here.

Etsy Love : breeree

I have loved screen prints and woodcuts for as long as I can remember. I think it is because I spent most of my senior year in high school working on an elaborate screen print with a gazillion screens. I couldnt even tell you where that final piece is, come to think of it... I digress.

This etsy artist bree, ree is REALLY making me want to go take a printmaking class (anyone know of any good ones in the Charlotte area?) I love the graphic nature of these prints and the pops of color. His profile says he is based in Canada.

Etsy Love : Brandi Strickland

I stumbled on a cool etsy shop by artist Brandi Strickland who is based in Richmond, Va. Her shop is called Paper Whistles. She has a really neat funky collection of mixed media collages. Most are artist reproductions. I really like her use of color and composition. Her method reminds me a little bit of Lulu DKscollages. So fun and interesting!
